February Cyberattacks: Phishing and Wallet Fraud

Analytics firm Nominis reported that cryptocurrency-related losses in February amounted to approximately $49 million, marking an 87% decrease compared to January’s $385 million.

Independent blockchain security company PeckShield recorded just 15 confirmed attacks this month, with total damages of $26.5 million - the lowest monthly figure since March 2025.

According to Nominis, the primary attack vectors remain authorization abuse and malicious wallet approvals, highlighting the need for increased vigilance among users and platforms.
