On March 10, Druk Holding and Investments transferred 175 BTC worth approximately $11.85 million. As a result, Bhutan’s total Bitcoin sales in 2026 reached around $42.5 million, including transactions involving BTC and USDT.
The country’s digital asset holdings have fallen from a peak of 13,000 BTC at the end of 2024 to about 5,400 BTC, marking a 58% decline. These sales were conducted through institutional counterparties, with no public explanation provided by the authorities.
