Ethereum Sets New Records – 200 Million Transactions in Q1 2026

The Ethereum network continues to prove its status as the leading settlement platform of the decentralized world. The first three months of 2026 will go down in blockchain history as a period of explosive growth and technological maturity.

According to published data, 200.4 million transactions were processed on the Ethereum network in the first quarter of 2026. This figure exceeds the results of the previous quarter by 43% and represents an all-time record for the project.

The “hottest” day of the quarter was February 7. On that day, the network processed 2.8 million operations - a volume comparable to the load of small national payment systems.

However, the biggest surprise lies in user activity metrics. The number of active addresses in the first quarter rose to 12.6 million. This marks an astonishing 1704% increase compared to the previous period. Such a surge indicates not just speculative interest, but the mass onboarding of real users into the ecosystem.

Ethereum has finally transitioned from the experimental stage to that of an industrial blockchain with millions of real daily users.
